<p>Suite du Trans’Alpes : une très longue 3ème étape avec un départ assez physique pour passer le col des Mattes et derrière un itinéraire plus roulant pour terminer juste derrière la frontière suisse au refuge de Chésery, devant le beau lac vert (attention aux renards qui pillent les tentes au bivouac !). L’étape 4 est en revanche une étape plus courte et de repos (relatif). On passe au-dessus du domaine d’Avoriaz pour terminer sur les crêtes spectaculaires de la Pointe de Léchère face aux Dents Blanches et la Tête de Bostan. Une fois au col de Coux, il reste à descendre sur le versant ouest français pour rejoindre le refuge de la Chardonnière.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ÉTAPE 3</span> : des Chalets de Chevenne au refuge de Chésery (Suisse)</strong></p>
<p>Descendre facilement à la Chapelle d’Abondance puis longer la Dranse d’Abondance puis monter raide et soutenu au sud dans le vallon du ruisseau des Mattes et rejoindre le refuge de Trebentaz. De là, traverser et franchir le col des Mattes par une section courte mais raide pour basculer sur l’autre versant. Rejoindre alors plus bas de GR5 que l’on va suivre un long moment en terrain roulant jusqu’à remonter finalement au col de Bassachaux.</p>
<p>Continuer sur le GR5 pour suivre la piste qui monte progressivement dans la station d’Avoriaz. passer le col de Chésery, entrer en Suisse et rejoindre un peu plus loin le refuge de Chésery, à proximité du lac Vert. Bivouac possible aux abords du lac. se méfier des renards qui rodent la nuit et n’hésitent pas à déchirer toit de tente et sac pour piller la nourriture !</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ÉTAPE 2</span> : du refuge de Chésery au col de Coux</strong></p>
<p>Revenir au col de Chésery et descendre cette fois au sud dans la station puis remonter pour rejoindre les crêtes au niveau du Pas puis le col du Cuboré. Suivre ensuite la piste panoramique qui fait le tour du haut de la station avec des vues splendides au sud sur les Dents Blanches. Une fois arrivé au col de Fornet, traverser les pentes herbeuses et descendre le petit sentier aérien des crêtes qui mènent à la Pointe de la Léchère. En route, on trouve une table en bois idéalement placée pour admirer le paysage et les parapentistes qui évoluent sur les hauteurs.</p>
<p>Terminer en rejoignant plus bas le col de Coux qui croise à nouveau le GR5 qui vient de Suisse. Fin d’étape pour nous en raison de la neige au Pas du taureau. La suite en 2025 !</p>

Suite du Trans’Alpes : une très longue 3ème étape avec un départ assez physique pour passer le col des Mattes et derrière un itinéraire plus roulant pour terminer juste derrière la frontière suisse au refuge de Chésery, devant le beau lac vert (attention aux renards qui pillent les tentes au bivouac !). L’étape 4 est en revanche une étape plus courte et de repos (relatif). On passe au-dessus du domaine d’Avoriaz pour terminer sur les crêtes spectaculaires de la Pointe de Léchère face aux Dents Blanches et la Tête de Bostan. Une fois au col de Coux, il reste à descendre sur le versant ouest français pour rejoindre le refuge de la Chardonnière.

<p>Pour un descriptif plus détaillé, se référer au topo guide du TransAlpes de Jérôme Bonneaux.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ÉTAPE 3</span> : des Chalets de Chevenne au refuge de Chésery (Suisse)</strong></p>
<p>Descendre facilement à la Chapelle d’Abondance puis longer la Dranse d’Abondance puis monter raide et soutenu au sud dans le vallon du ruisseau des Mattes et rejoindre le refuge de Trebentaz. De là, traverser et franchir le col des Mattes par une section courte mais raide pour basculer sur l’autre versant. Rejoindre alors plus bas de GR5 que l’on va suivre un long moment en terrain roulant jusqu’à remonter finalement au col de Bassachaux.</p>
<p>Continuer sur le GR5 pour suivre la piste qui monte progressivement dans la station d’Avoriaz. passer le col de Chésery, entrer en Suisse et rejoindre un peu plus loin le refuge de Chésery, à proximité du lac Vert. Bivouac possible aux abords du lac. se méfier des renards qui rodent la nuit et n’hésitent pas à déchirer toit de tente et sac pour piller la nourriture !</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ÉTAPE 2</span> : du refuge de Chésery au col de Coux</strong></p>
<p>Revenir au col de Chésery et descendre cette fois au sud dans la station puis remonter pour rejoindre les crêtes au niveau du Pas puis le col du Cuboré. Suivre ensuite la piste panoramique qui fait le tour du haut de la station avec des vues splendides au sud sur les Dents Blanches. Une fois arrivé au col de Fornet, traverser les pentes herbeuses et descendre le petit sentier aérien des crêtes qui mènent à la Pointe de la Léchère. En route, on trouve une table en bois idéalement placée pour admirer le paysage et les parapentistes qui évoluent sur les hauteurs.</p>
<p>Terminer en rejoignant plus bas le col de Coux qui croise à nouveau le GR5 qui vient de Suisse. Fin d’étape pour nous en raison de la neige au Pas du taureau. La suite en 2025 !</p>
